Music Lessons in the Heart of Edmonton’s Historic Beverly Heights
My Teaching Philosophy
I believe that everyone can learn to sing and that the most meaningful growth happens in an environment rooted in safety, trust, and play. Singing can feel vulnerable, and my priority is to ensure that every student feels supported and free to explore their voice without fear of judgment.
Lessons are designed to be both structured and joyful, balancing strong vocal technique with a spirit of curiosity. You can expect to work on vocal development and expressive communication, while also leaving room for experimentation and creativity. Making mistakes and (many!) silly sounds along the way are all essential parts of the learning process!
Since every student brings their own unique goals, learning style, and musical interests to the studio, lessons are thoughtfully tailored to reflect what you want to achieve. Whether you’re preparing for a performance, desire to build a strong vocal foundation, or simply singing for the joy of it, you’ll be supported every step of the way.
Above all, my hope is that you leave each lesson feeling refreshed and inspired to keep making music!
Voice Lesson
Have you always wanted to sing? Voice lessons are designed to build a foundation of reliable and sustainable vocal technique to give you the tools to communicate confidently with your unique voice! Voice lessons are available for ages 7+, all experience levels are welcome.
In-person and virtual lessons are available!
My First Music Lesson
My First Music Lesson is designed for young students who are not yet ready to focus on voice, or for those looking for a fun and engaging introduction to music. This program is best suited for children aged 3–10 with little to no prior musical experience.
Through a mix of piano exploration, non-pitched percussion, games, and singing, students will begin to read music and build a strong foundation in basic music theory. Students enrolled in My First Music Lesson will need access to a piano or keyboard at home for practice.
My First Music Lesson is only available in person.
Student Reviews
“My daughter absolutely loves her vocal lessons with Evelyn! She has been seeing her for almost a year now and has really progressed vocally. Evelyn has also boosted her confidence in singing and she is now open to auditions, where she was not before. My daughter was very nervous to start lessons but Evelyn provided a safe place to practice and learn. I am grateful for the patience and expertise that Evelyn has used in her lessons and highly recommend her for anyone interested in vocal lessons.”

“Evelyn has been my voice teacher for a year now and has taught me so much! I went from not really knowing how to use my voice to having a good grasp on beginner concepts, and a strong foundation to build my voice up on. She's really nice and understanding, walks me through each lesson and takes as much time as we need to get a concept correctly. I love her teaching style and I hope to continue being taught by her for as long as I can!”

“I was very nervous at first, however Evelyn makes you feel very comfortable. She explains the exercises and why you are doing them. She teaches to your ability and your personal goals on your musical journey. She is extremely talented and knowledgeable and it is an honour to be a student of hers.”
